About Wesley Heights

What makes Wesley Heights unique

Wesley Heights began in 1911 as a streetcar suburb on the west side of Uptown. Its Craftsman bungalows and Colonial Revival and Tudor Revival houses now make up a 105-acre National Register historic district, and tree-lined streets such as Summit Avenue still look much as they did a century ago.

The appeal today is the mix of old and new. The CityLYNX Gold Line streetcar stops right in the neighborhood, a greenway runs behind historic homes with skyline views, and West Morehead Street has longtime favorites such as Pinky's Westside Grill and The Open Kitchen. Next door, the Savona Mill redevelopment plans a 30,000-square-foot food hall for 2027.
