Eastover
Estate-sized lots, an art museum and Uptown ten minutes away

What makes Eastover unique
Eastover began in 1927, when the E.C. Griffith Company turned a dairy farm southeast of Uptown into large, tree-shaded lots. It's often called the first Charlotte suburb built with driveways for cars, and its winding streets filled with Georgian and Colonial Revival homes that drew many of the city's business and civic leaders.
The neighborhood even has a museum built into it: the Mint Museum Randolph, housed in the relocated 1830s U.S. Mint building and opened in 1936 as North Carolina's first art museum. A 1929 firehouse is still in service, Queens University borders the neighborhood, and the restaurants along Providence Road are an easy walk away.
